Big Girl!

Hi! This is me, just bein' a big girl in my pretty high chair.

Belle was such a big girl today! She sat up all by herself and she waved good-bye to Grandma! We are so excited to see Aunt Mary tomorrow and show her all of Belle's new tricks!

Where is Thumbkin

Belle has worked very hard at learning how to move all of her fingers individually - and now I know why! She loves to suck her thumb, her forefinger & her first 2 fingers! I must say, it's adorable. I'm still trying to capture it on camera. She is also working on saying, "mama"! "Mom" comes out although I don't think it counts as her first word yet. :)

You Are Not My Mother... You Are A Snort!

I would just like to share that Belle now snorts when she giggles. And she has learned to crinkle her nose. This is not a picture of either, but she sure is a fashionista in her little NY outfit!

Good Times with Miss Belle

It's been a while since my last post, but Belle has some news of course! First of all, let's celebrate because Belle has decided she loves the "bounceroo"!

Fat Little Fairy

Despite what the weather man said, today was a beautiful day! The unexpected beautiful day is my favorite kind, and as I was walking home from work I was thinking about my favorite childhood story, "The Fat Little Fairy". It's the story of a fat little fairy who thinks she isn't as beautiful and graceful as the other fairies. The other fairies dance and sing and flit and the fat little fairy just sits on her tree branch watching thinking how she wishes she was more like the other fairies. One day, a beautiful woman comes to choose a fairy to take home. This woman is so beautiful that all the fairies dance around her singing, "take me! take me!" The woman can't choose... until she sees the fat little fairy sitting on her tree branch crying. She runs to her & says, "I choose this one!" The other fairies can't understand why she would choose the fat little fairy. She can't even fly! But the woman says, "She's not a fairy! She's a baby! And I love her!" Then she kisses the baby's tears and kisses the fat little dimples on her knees and kisses the fat little dimples in her elbows. (Isn't that a funny story to be my favorite? :) ) When I got home, I couldn't wait to kiss the dimples on my fat little fairy! (And she is getting chubbier every day!)
